Edward Deaver is a creative technologist interested in the human aspect of technology and making the spaces we inhabit better. He is adept at building interactive installations and interfacing with undocumented technologies.

With a versatile skill set encompassing Python, JavaScript, C++, and a range of frameworks and libraries like openFrameworks and React, he is well-equipped to craft innovative solutions. Edward's proficiency extends to software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Blender, and Max, complemented by hands-on experience with hardware like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and MIDI devices. His expertise is further demonstrated by his involvement in cutting-edge projects.

In his external experiences, Edward's contributions have been groundbreaking. At the MIT Reality Hack '23, he collaborated on a team that developed a VR experience for Oculus Quest 2, integrating Csound and ESP32 to teach sound physics. Meanwhile, his Hack Upstate Fall 2020 project used TensorFlow and OpenCV to send email notifications based on mail truck detection. In his professional journey, he serves as a Full Stack Web Developer at Syracuse University, crafting augmented reality experiences, and leveraging TikTok Effect House for social engagement. His role as a Splunk Engineer at Evolent Health involved enhancing security operations and creating Python applications for data-driven insights.
